Chief Justice Martha Koome held a press conference on the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal (PPDT) Decentralization Plan. The plan is aimed at widening the doorways of justice in the resolution of political disputes in our country.
CJ Koome said Kenyans can now file and have their political dispute resolved in Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Kakamega, Nyeri, Eldoret and Meru.
PPDT will also leverage on technology through the e-filing system and have positioned Court Administrators and ICT officers in each of the seven court stations to assist anyone who needs assistance in filing their political disputes.
The CJ assured Kenyans that the PPDT and the courts are well prepared to handle any disputes in political party primaries and other electoral grievances in a fair, expeditious and cost-effective manner.
