Hon Lady Justice Nambitha holds a degree B Proc(1987) and an LLB (1989) from University of Natal, Durban. She also holds an LLM (1990) from Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.

Her professional history includes Articles of Clerkship: 1988-1990, Ndzimande and Mbuli, Durban.

She was a practising Attorney and later a lecturer in several institutions before becoming a High Court Judge, Competition Appeal Court Judge, Acting Judge Constitutional Court and Judge of the Supreme Court of Appeal. She now serves as Acting President of the Supreme Court of Appeal.
