During investigations:

  1. You have a right to communicate with
    1. An advocate of your choice, and
    2. Any other person (s) who can help you.
  2. You have a right to bail pending investigations and pending the preference of charges by the prosecution
  3. You must be brought before a court within twenty-four hours after being arrested;
  4. If the 24 hour period expires on a weekend or a holiday, you must be brought to court before the end of the next court day.
