CJ presides over the Launch of PLEAD II

Chief Justice Martha Koome presided over the launch of PLEAD II which stands for Programme for Legal Empowerment and Aid Delivery in Kenya. This is a partnership between the Government of Kenya, European Union, United Nations and civil society that is improving the delivery of justice services and involves various stakeholders.

PLEAD II is an expansion of counties in focus from 12 to 19 and increase in partners, key among them being the EACC as a key element in fighting corruption

Judge Koome  said the continued thematic focus on digitisation will ensure that the developments in the sector continue to be relevant to the current information age.

Dr Stephen Jackson. UN Resident Coordinator noted that PLEAD II was designed to ensure Kenya’s justice sector adheres to international norms & it is a well thought out agenda to dispense a strategic alliance for partnerships in the justice sector.
