Garissa bids farewell to Justice Dulu

Garissa law court held a farewell party for outgoing presiding judge George Dulu who has been transferred to Kericho law courts. Justice Dulu was deployed to Garissa law courts in October 2014.  Under his leadership, the court witnessed marked improvement in court operations.  “Justice Dulu has shown us how to think critically, plan precisely and execute our roles effectively,” Senior Clerical Officer Stephen Theri said.  Justice Dulu who was the presiding judge at Garissa High Court was transferred to Kericho in the recent transfer of High Court Judges. Dulu will be replaced by Justice Charles Kariuki.         ...

Shanzu Law Courts: Transformation Through a Magistrate’s Eyes

When she reported at the Shanzu Law Courts three years ago as the head of station, Hon Diana Mochache found that the station had one Magistrate and one court room, commonly referred to as Court 1.  There was no courtroom for an additional judicial officer. MEDIATION TAKING ROOT AT KISII LAW COURTS

Kisii Law Court has concluded 21 matters that were referred for mediation from 71 matters that were registered. Of the 21 matters, 10 cases were able to reach a settlement agreement within two months.
