Busia ELC gets Legal Researcher

The Environment and Land Court (ELC) in Busia has a new Legal Researcher. Ms Marcella Atieno Oloo joined the court on November 5, 2018. This is the first time the court has hired a researcher to support judicial officers in legal research.

Ms Oloo was recruited by the Judicial Service Commission to enhance capacity at the court. She is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya after having been admitted to the Bar in December 2014.

Ms Oloo comes on board with vast legal experience after having worked with Obura Mbeche and Company Advocates as a Litigation advocate.

She specialized in Employment Law and labour Relations and Insurance and Personal Injuries Law.

The Busia Environment and Land Court Presiding Judge Justice Anthony Kaniaru said congratulated Ms Oloo on her new appointment.

He said Ms Oloo brings to the Court the enthusiasm and energy of youth, and the benefits of recent learning.

“She has hit the road running and her input is as enriching as it is impactful.  The Environment and Land Court is delighted to have her as its resource,” Justice Kaniaru said.
