CHIEF JUSTICE WILLY MUTUNGA AT THE CENTRE FOR STRATEGIC AND INTERNATIONAL STUDIES IN WASHINGTON DC.

Chief Justice Willy Mutunga gave a speech at the Centre for Strategic and International Studies in Washington DC today in which he outlined reforms under way in the country following the promulgation of the Constitution in 2010. Dr Mutunga, who is on a six-day official visit to the United States, drew many parallels between the constitution implementation experiences of Kenya and the US and added that contestation in such processes is normal.
He reiterated his earlier promise that Kenya would strive to create jurisprudence that can be borrowed around the world.
